The upper eliminates the standard midfoot saddle, allowing the pigskin and synthetic overlays to extend from heel to toe over the mesh underlay, creating a stealthier, more streamlined look. The new design marks one of the most drastic changes from one generation to the next, unprecedented for the 990! The biggest change occurs on the inside. With the addition of FuelCell cushioning in the midsole, the new 990 model looks as good as it feels.
