DESCRIPTION :
Patta and Helinox have once again teamed up for a special collaborative release, merging heritage and modern design into a unique product that speaks to both craftsmanship and cultural pride.
The Helinox Tactical Chair draws inspiration from the Surinamese Pangi fabric, a culturally significant garment of Maroon communities.
This pangi, owned by Patta co-founder Guillaume Schmidt's late father, brings a personal and historical touch. The pangi, called "Kosu" in Saamaka, has evolved from a symbol of inferiority to one of freedom and pride, reflecting the resilience of Suriname's interior communities.
The Patta x Helinox chair is portable, lightweight, and easy to set up. Offering stylish and functional comfort in any environment, it is made from durable materials and provides additional carrying and storage options.
The South Korean brand Helinox began in 2009 with the introduction of trekking poles to the market. Then, in 2012, Helinox presented its first outdoor furniture product: the famous ultra-light Chair One. A foldable chair suitable for travel, trekking, and bivouacking. Both light and comfortable, it has become a must-have for those who want to feel at home, even in the wilderness!
Since then, Helinox has offered a range of high-quality lightweight chairs, tables, and cots for outdoor activities. Products that are easily transportable. All equipment is designed from DAC aluminum. DAC and Helinox are two companies from the same family. It is the experts at Dongah Aluminum Corporation (DAC) who created the Helinox company. As a reminder, DAC manufactures the best poles in the world used by major hiking tent brands: Msr, Big Agnes, Hilleberg, Exped, Nemo, Vaude, Sierra Designs, etc...
